Q: Can I create my own menu?
A: We offer a wide variety of wedding menus to suit all tastes and preferences. If our existing plans do not meet your needs, our experienced team is happy to work with you fulfill your requests.
Q: Can I taste all the food before the wedding?
A: Of course. A complete tasting of all the selected menu items will be scheduled several weeks prior to your wedding. At that time, we can make any necessary adjustments.
Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for four hours. You can extend the time if desired. Your wedding specialist will advise any additional costs for the additional time.
Q: Can I have an open bar at the wedding?
A: You can elect to have an open bar, a limited selection of wine and beer, or a cash bar. Your wedding specialist will advise you on the costs and inclusions for each. Choices include assorted cocktails, bottled American & imported beers, assorted soft drinks, mineral water and juices. A professional will be provided to serve your guests
Q: Do you have suggested vendors for flowers, music, photography, etc?
A: We work on a regular basis with several vendors. It would be our pleasure to provide recommendations and assistance with your music, photography, videography, transportation and floral needs.
Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch or a rehearsal dinner at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa?
A: Certainly. We have several locations perfect for occasions such as these and your wedding specialist will be happy to review these with you.
Q: Are taxes and gratuities included in the pricing?
A: A 21% Service Charge will be applied to all food and beverage items. Sales tax, currently 6%, will be added to all food prices and miscellaneous fees. Taxes are subject to change without notification. Please remember, pricing is not final until a signed contract is returned to your wedding specialist.
Q: Can my guests have a late check-out the morning after the wedding?
A: We will try and accommodate your guests’ requests, however, this will be dependant upon the overall occupancy of the hotel on the day in question.
Q: Can I decorate the reception room?
A: Generally, yes. There will be certain limitations in some rooms, which your wedding specialist can review with you. Allow us to give you ideas and suggestions that have successfully worked in the past.
